Question #1:

Renting with a dog - has anyone gotten away with hiding it? Esp. in Australia?

Ok I know it's not ideal, so please don't waste your or my time telling me that. I would not be doing this if I had other options. I have a doberman, a very well trained and friendly one and I love him like a family member. I got him when my grandfather died because I inherited a lot of money and knew I would be able to afford a house so I could keep him. Until then, I was living with my mum and it was all fine because she loved the dog too. However, she found a new bf who hates me and the dog, and unfortunately, she is siding with him and there's nothing I can do about that. So I was kicked out about 2 weeks ago. I can not access the money I inherited until next year, as it is in trust fund. And I got the dog whilst I was still at uni because I wanted to be able to spend a lot of time training him when he was young and I thought my mum would support me.

I have since been staying with friends, carting the dog around with me, but it's not really viable for a year. I earn enough to be able to rent just about anywhere, but, no-one will rent to me because I have a dog, or they will only accept small dogs. I have his training and vet certificates, and a billion cute photos, but in Sydney, the rental market is terrible and tenants have plenty of choices so they never choose the person with the doberman. I have been looking for over 2 weeks now and I just don't have a lot of time left. So I feel like I have 2 options. Either, I have to give my dog up - though I don't honestly think I could do it, I'd be living in my car before I did, or, I rent somewhere and just don't tell them.

He doesn't have the doggy smell, he is perfectly house trained and doesn't destroy anything but his toys, he only barks once or twice when someone approaches the house, and not at all if he knows them - you rarely hear him bark. But he is big, and I don't think it's possible that people just won't notice him. I walk him every day so people will see him leaving and returning to the house. And people are terribly prejudiced against dobermans and big dogs in general. So I don't know what to do.

Has anyone been in this situation? And if so, what did you do? Do you think I could get away with hiding him? Or do you think that say I did hide him but he was discovered a couple of months down the track that they'd let me stay anyway because I always pay rent on time and improved the condition of the property - like made the garden nicer and always kept it clean?

Just please don't tell me I'm stupid for even considering it, I have no other choice that I can think of :(
I have been paying rent to my friends. But they all live in apartments where pets are also not allowed - I have been hiding the dog and moving around often. The properties I am looking at moving into are houses so have room for a dog, the tenants just don't want one there.

Question #2:

my boyfriend whould most defently be paying my way.
this is not a party. at all. it is just me getting friends together for a good time for my birthday. they are not obligated to bring any gifts whats so ever.

Question #5:

Introducing puppy to other house dogs?

Hi i have currently 3 border collies male almost 2, female 3 and female 4-5. we just got a rottweiler puppy yesterday 16 weeks old male pedigree. We brought pup home and put him in crate with his bed and let our dogs separately 1 by 1 come and see pup in cage and have a sniff. The female age 2 seemed happy wagging tail and sniffing she gets along with all dogs and people she just a big pup her self, we took her away and brought in the 2nd dog male and he is a nervous dog anyway and he wasn't very sure he went to the cage and was stiff and showing teeth as the puppy was jumping about the cage trying to get to the dog, we took him away then brought in the alpha dog female age 4 and she was sniffing and growling a wee bit, it was a short introduction.
We then put all dogs on leads including pup and took them for a walk together they all walked side by side although the male age 2 kept turning round and looking at the pup unsure about it. We got to the park where they don't normally go so it was neutral grounds, the 2 female collies were let off leads to run around with the pup and they were all running around nicely although the female age 4 did growl at the pup because he jumped on her.
We got back home and put pup back in his crate with water and food in the living room so he would be safe and so wouldn't annoy the other dogs. The pup is so big and bouncy and just wants to play constantly wont sleep just cries and barks and tries to dig his way out of crate trying to get to other dogs. The female age 4 has started laying down by the crate and growling at the pup, and the other female and male lay in the kitchen which is some what normal. When dogs are outside in the garden the pup is so relaxed and just a pup but as soon as he sees the other 3 he goes crazy just wants to get to them.
I thought i cant keep puppy in crate forever he will have to get to know the other 3 sometime and he doesn't like crate that much, i only put him in the crate for him to get use to his new surroundings and for the dogs to get use to him and avoiding hurting him.
So we put 2 dogs away in another room and let pup out in living room with our friendliest female age 3 and i think she may have seen the pups toys i dint no but she was acting strange and getting all Territorial over something she usually wants to play with anyone and anything. she started growling at the pup only because he was crying and struggling to get to her and she was staying away from him i thought maybe best out in garden more room for her to feel that she not trapped in a room with this pup, soon as they got in the garden the female was running around doing her usual thing loves being outdoors and the pup was just sniffing around he went up to the female and hit her with his paw and she attacked him, she had a hold of his face and wouldn't let go shaking him, the pup yelped and ran away in the house, such a wee shame. I shouted at the female NO don't you do that again and she showed her teeth at me too then i left her in the garden and went seen to pup he was ok thankfully.
I was at the end of my wit the pup has been crying and barking everytime he goes in that crate he will not settle when we walk out a room he barks really loud for his age infact! So we let him out and he just keeps going for the dogs. So my partner decided to take pup out with alpha female age 4 to park they walked side by side no problems got back home and thought i'll try have pup in living room out with other dogs on lead and get him to lay down and it took a hour for him to lay down and calm he just wanted the other dogs he started biting and chewing his lead and whining but eventually got him settled and he was laying down next to the female dog no complaints but he started getting too close again and she was growling, the other male still lay in the kitchen and the other female wouldnt come through to living room because the pup was there.
Its been 1 long hard day!!
Is there any advice? i just want to be able to have all dogs get along, especially the male age 2 he is unsure of the pup and snaps but the dogs only attack the pup when he gets too close. will my dogs get use to the pup? baring in mind my dogs were all pups and one stage too and i had to introduce them to each other at one stage but it was nothing compared to this.
What do i do? how do i get them to get along? and how do i stop the pup jumping and annoying the others please help

Question #6:

Would a Border Collie be ok left alone for 4-5 hours MAX a few days a week? crate trained?

we are planning on getting a border collie, but we would have to leave it in the house some days of the week, i would be home with it weekends, and my mum only works part time so she only works 3-4 days (monday to friday) and when it is alone it would only be alone 3-4 hours max 5, as soon as i get home from school (3:30) i will give it a long walk and a run, and when we are not walking it (i mean when we have already taken it for a walk, instead of not taken it for a walk) we have a rather large garden that we can play in and he can run around in, the dog will be left alone in his VERY retardedly soft bed we have gotten him, we are going to train him to use a large kind of litter box that my nan used with her dog, and he will have plenty of toys, and an endless supply of food & water. and when we are home we will treat him with the most care a dog could possibly be treated with.
we have a rather large house that he can run around in during the day, or would it be better to keep him in the place where his bed and toys+food is?
or, should we crate train him? if so, could the 'crate' be like a mesh pen that i could make with my brother, who is a builder?

Overly energetic labrador puppy - 9 months.?

Hi, this is my friends dog. She is well trained, sits, does not beg, always comes and is friendly and good with children - she's lovely but the energy! Puppies are energetic but this is extreme. She is walked for two hours in the morning and one in the evening- off the lead, full pelt, chasing balls and other dogs all the time and still she has too much energy and tears about the garden at home. My lab has always been placid tho loving to run so cannot advise her. Does anyone know why she is like this and is it likely to calm down? She is small and slim for a lab.

Question #10:

where was the Garden of Eden located?

Can someone direct me to a reliable source please?

Question #11:

Could creationists please respond to the question below?

If God indeed created all life at the same time, and the Garden of Eden was free of illness, then did God adjust our immune systems to make it possible for us to be sick? If all of the disease causing microorganisms were present at creation, then He must have given us a perfect immune system to keep us healthy. It seems that the only logical explanation, other than evolution, is that he changed our immune system to make us suffer more.

I notice the Bible makes no mention of this, so I wonder how you believers feel

Question #15:

eating the sparrows - arent they edible?

I have 5 chickens and 1 cockerel, i free range them in my yard, there is always food around for my chickens.

Sparrows are a problem, they are attracted by the chick food, they come by groups of 10-30 birds and make gang attacks in anything they can eat, i have a fenced (for the chickens) vegetable garden, the sparrows ate my peas before i do. They are really invading my territory.

I will build a sparrow trap, its my turn on their game.

I want to eat them all. I will BBQ them all and swallow them and burp while drinking beer before i fart and laugh at them like a barbarian uncivilized crazy man that i am. I would feed them to my dog, if i had one.

Now, give me a reason, why shouldnt i eat sparrows, do you think they carry diseases or anything like that?

What do you think of eating sparrows?

Question #16:

What's the most inconsiderate thing your neighbour has ever done?

and does it beat this?

"If David Alvand has lost his hedge trimmers, he seems unlikely to find them again any time soon. His three-bedroom semi is in permanent darkness, engulfed by a jungle of leylandii. The 61-year-old allowed the rapidly-growing conifers to shoot up to 35ft after he lost a long legal battle to enclose his property with a wall.

In despair, his long-suffering neighbours have united to launch a formal complaint about his front garden under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act. One said: 'The trees are an eyesore - they block out sunlight and make the street look bad.' Another said: 'They have gone higher than the roofs of our houses now. They look horrendous.'

Mr Alvand, who describes himself as a civil engineer, planted the 16 leylandii when he moved into the £130,000 house in Plymouth almost 20 years ago. He also erected a 12ft structure of breeze blocks and corrugated iron around his back garden without planning permission. A 12-year legal battle followed which almost reached the European Court of Human Rights, but after the city council had spent £20,000 on the case Mr Alvand ripped the wall down in January 2004 ... and concentrated on growing his front hedge.

A spokesman for Plymouth City Council said an investigation was under way amid hopes that both parties could come to an agreement. Mr Alvand said: 'I feel victimised. The neighbours have a vendetta against me. 'I am a law-abiding citizen and I have suffered for 20 years being chased over my wall and trees. it's my land."

Question #17:

How to make a garden for your rabbit?

I'm a rabbit owner who loves rabbits. I was considering making a fenced in area in my back yard and treating the soil, growing some vegetables for my rabbit as a little play area. I wanted to have most of the ground in the garden to be clover, a decent height fence and a wire fence just beneath it, so he can't dig out. I was just wondering...What should I have in my garden, ex.What kind of soil should I use? Can I grow some vegetables in it? Should I have a little water area? Just please give me some ideas on what I should do.
Just wanted to add...I'm not going to keep him out there unsupervised. He lives indoors. I just need a little outside play area for him.

R&P(and David ;) ) What are you thoughts on this song I rewrote the lyrics to?

There's a little boy in our neighborhood.
His name is David Johnson, and he's really lookin' good.
I had to go and see him, so I called him on the phone.
I walked over to his house, and this was goin' on.

His brother was on the sofa, eatin' chocolate pie.
Momma was in the kitchen, cuttin' chicken up to fry.
Daddy was in the backyard, rollin' up a garden hose.
I was on the porch with David, feelin' love down to my toes.
and we were swingin' (swingin')
yes we were swingin' (swingin')

Little David he's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on his front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

Yeah, and we'll be swingin'. (swingin')
Yes, we'll be swingin'. (swingin')
Little David he's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on his front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

Now David he's a darlin', he's the apple of my eye.
When I'm on the swing with him, it makes me almost high.
And David is my lover, and he has been since the spring.
I just can't believe it started on his front porch in this swing.
Just a swingin'. (swingin')
ah-just a swingin'. (swingin')

Little David he's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on his front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

I said Little David he's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on his front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin') (swingin')

Thanks :)

Question #20:

what should I do?????????????????????

My school is having a 7th grade field trip to Busch Gardens Tampa. and me and my other two friends (let call them Alex and Sasha) are usually in our own little group because we don't really hang out with anyone els. The only problem is that i LOVE roller coasters and just recently got over my fear of them, but my friends haven't! last year when we wen't on a field trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom I was still scared of rides but Sasha was telling me that if i didn't go on rides she'd be mad at me (we tried to convince Alex before we got there but we couldn't ) so I got exited about them and me and Sasha couldn't wait to go on Expedition Everest! when we got there the first thing we went on was Kali River Rapids (Alex didn't go) after that we went over to Everest and both my friends got scared! I was looking forward to video taping it from the first row. luckily we found another group i could go with
and right after i got of smiling Sasha said that next time she'd go(Alex's dad can get us in for free) after that we made Alex go on a baby roller coaster and the river rapid one. everyone Loved IT!
later that summer i went on my first real roller coaster Manta at Sea World. but know we have another field trip coming with bigger rides Sasha promised me and her older sister that this time she wouldn't get scared but Alex is hopeless Ive made a plan to go on the most tinniest things ever and work our way up to the biggest one Sasha agreed but not Alex so what do i do what if they chicken out again I'm not gonna have any fun gust walking around looking at animals but their not gonna have any fun waiting outside the line for me to come out! i don't want to join another group because they are my best friends and i don't know anyone els all i ask is for them to try it once if they don't like it i wont bother them but I'm 97% shore they will LOVE IT! so what do i do?
