Question #1:

Is anyone as tired of hearing about Katrina & the Ssaints more than I am?

Saints Saints Saints Saints Saints Saints Saints !!!!

so guess what? Saints !!!!

I like how everyone under the sun complains about Favre and hearing the news about what he's doing and how he is a "diva"...but can I get a "holla" for the people who feel the same way i do about the Saints & Katrina. good god, it's like i realized why i haven't watched the NFL Network in 8 months for a reason. I think i watched the NFL network a day and a half and all i keep hearing about is the Saints and for every time they mention the Saints they gotta mention Hurricane Katrina...good god, get over it!!!!

At least the Favre situations are current events. Not some global disaster that happened over 5 years ago!!! I don't think I can stomach two of the most annoying things in the world

1) a tribute to the Saints prior Super Bowl Championship AND of course not without mentioning Hurricane Katrina. To tell me it's not annoying is asinine. and why isn't it the Giants, Yankees, Mets, or Jets gotta mention 9/11 every 5 seconds if they win a championship??? (LOL mets winning a championship)

"oh that was so long ago"

well katrina was 5 years ago. don't give me your sob stories about cars being in front lawns. and uh yea, GO VIKINGS!
oh and number 2 most annoying thing

Dave Matthews band!!!

Im in high school right now and graduating next year. And I was wondering what type of car I should buy. A SUV, Pickup or Car? I will be living close if not on the campus. I like having the option of being able to tow other cars just incase, and I would also like to hold a lot of big things. (Example, Surf Board, Coolers, Lawn Care Equipment) The problem is, I will be renting an apartment, so I dont know if having a big car will be good with parking on the street and gas is getting expensive. What do you guys think? Also, please dont think I dont have the experience to drive a large car, My first and current car is a near 20 foot Ford E-Series, and I parallel park that every day of high school. I've been driving that since I got my license and before that my dad let me park it in our garage only Inches from the Mercedes and the wall. I never hit either.

Question #8:

Could you please answer questions on these uncommon names?

These names are not my favorites, nor or they ones I would ever consider using, they're entirely random.

boys name: Samson is pronounced SAM-sun and it means sun in Hebrew and son of Samuel in English. Its currently ranked at #882 in the top 1000 boys names and its most popular year was 1988 at #830.

girls name: Calandra is pronounced kuh-LAWN-druh and it means lark in Greek and has never been ranked in the top 1000 girls names.

Here are the questions:

1. What is your opinion on these names?
2. What would nicknames and/or middle names would you use for these names?
3. Which would you use to describe:
i. dislike it, ii. not bad, iii. ok iv. like it, v. love it
4. What kind of person do these names put to mind?
5. Do you know anyone with these names? (description if yes)
6. Any stories/history you have on these names.

By the way, since many seem to want to know, this is for a potential baby name book or blog.

Thanks!!
Just because you know a dog named Samson doesn't mean that it's a dogs name. I know just as many Mollys and Brandys and Sams that are dogs as I know that are people, but they're still human names...

Question #13:

What do you think of my poem?

Morning Person

Suspended in space, cloaked in darkness, barely conscious,
The earth slumbers in the hours preceding dawn.
Carefully, slowly, not disturbing the peace,
I tiptoe out the door and sprint across the lawn.

I don't have much time, for the horizon is pink,
And the moon is beginning to fade.
But on I run, through the empty streets,
Accompanied by the silence that pervades.

The whole world is caught in a dreamlike trance,
Where thoughts float beneath the surface, and words remain unspoken.
But as the first timid sunbeams illuminate the sky,
A bird begins to sing, and the spell is broken.

Question #17:

Aquarium (Tropical Fish and Shrimp Colony)?

Greetings to all aquarium enthusiast!

This is my first time to set up a fresh water aquarium and have a bunch load of questions in stock to ask all aquarium gurus out there.

Initially I was thinking of setting up a tank purely for tetras and guppies but also took interest in cherry shrimps as well.
The tank is a 80L which is sufficient enough to raise the fish but is it also possible to have a small colony of 15 cherry's?
What impact would the cherry's have on the tank eco system if they formed a colony?
I've done some separate research about this and some people seem to have small number of shrimps (max 5) but no place offered a clear answer in regards to colonies.

Also I want to plant a partial carpet (partial to leave some space for bottom dwellers) but what's the best recommended plants for this?
Some videos on you tube show very soft looking lawns with some commenting it's java moss but when I looked at the individual java moss plants they looked very rough.
I've also seen some people suggesting it's Hemianthus callitrichoides though I never had a chance to come by to see the real.

I still have more questions to ask but I'll stop my rant from here so I don't kill everyone from boredom.
Thanks for looking at this and I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions that might guide me through my first set up!

Have a nice day!

Question #18:

why is it so hard to ask a question on yahoo answers?

why is it when you ask a question on here, someone always has something to say about you as a person. ok, i admit that everyone is entitled to their opinion but if we ask a question about, for example, politics, dogs, or cutting the lawn, i personally feel that you are made to be stupid. i think we all have the right to ask questions isn't that what this site is about? so why can't we just answer the question asked instead of making accusations about the person asking??

Question #19:

I'm having a hard time finding reviews and pictures of weddings held at a particular venue?

My fiance and I are looking into an October wedding in Mystic, CT preferably at the Mystic Seaport. I've been in touch with one of the Wedding coordinators there, and although she's sent me a lot of information on the venue and costs, their main website only provides a few snapshots of the River Room and the North Lawn (both pictures don't have active weddings going on). I went on flickr and found 1 picture of a married couple dancing in the River Room, but that's all I could find. I went to Yelp to find reviews of wedding venues and this didn't come up. I tried google and bing searches and still I am not finding any reviews for the Seaport as a wedding venue or more photos. Any suggestions? We REALLY want to get married here but I don't want to pay for something that might not be worth the money. Weddings are an investment. We're trying to stick to a pretty modest budget, and we're planning this from Chicago, IL.

Question #20:

What grass to use in a shaded Texas yard?

I live in central Texas.

My backyard has St Augustine, but the last couple of summers have been bad for the lawn, and I now have several bare patches. I have decided to re-sod, but am not sure if I should change to a different grass or not. The yard is well shaded by the house and trees, some areas getting little or only dappled sunlight even in summer.

Should I stay with the St Augustine? (I do like the look and feel) Or, change to another grass?

How can I keep my St. Augustine alive in those shaded and high traffic areas (I have dogs and kids).
I have extensive cedar beds directly under the trees where I am growing shade tolerant ground cover. And, these areas did have decent grass when I bought the house 4 years ago, but I likely didn't manage the lawn well enough (aerate, sufficient water, etc).

Perhaps I just need to expect to re-sod/seed regularly in those areas.
