Answer #5:

try putting a dog in your yard.. yep

Answer #6:

I threw water on a cat... and it never came back again :D

Answer #7:

Mothballs will cause the cat to claw its eyes out because of the irritation. Try using orange or lemon peels. They seem to work for me.

Answer #8:

Can you talk to your neighbors about constraining their cat?
That's awful! Could you possible fence the flowers in or watch how the cats get in there and find a way to block their entrance.

I'm not much of a gardener but I doubt there is much you can do to the flowers themselves unless you relocate them or put mouse traps in them! <-- I'm kidding. Haha.

But yes! Save the flowers and talk to your neighbor(s).

Answer #9:

If you go to any gardening store and ask them there are alot fo sprays and powders that are not harmful to the cat or your plants but they dont come near them anymore.

Answer #10:

Try your own pee,and I don't mean go out and pee in your garden. Save your pee and mark your territory with a spray bottle all around your garden.

Answer #11:

Put spikes everywhere. Or kidnap the cats and sell them.

Answer #12:

The antifreeze will work. But only as a last resort-unless these are feral (we called them "barn cats). If they are feral I literally would not hesitate to eradicate them.I know of some idiots who actually feed them outside trying to be "nice" "because they love animals". Personally I preferred a shot gun as I didn't want to poison my own cat.
Please understand that I love cats. I'm a cat person not a "dog lover". But the wild ones almost all have feline leukemia (100% fatal) and only live a year or two long enough to spread it to other cats. Even if MY cat is current on his shots he could still possibly get it from them. Also it's the vet bills from the fights(yes, even though he's neutered) when they try to expand into his territory.Cats are one if not the biggest killer of songbirds, quail and other species.
(1) Talk to the neighbor.
(2) Get a slingshot and a bag of marbles and thump them right in the ribs.
(3)THEN the antifreeze...

Answer #13:

in britain there is a product called catnip, to cats, it is like mace or pepper spray to a human, works every time for me.

Answer #14:

You can use a "Scat Mat" or "Tac Mat", basically its a roll of flexible plastic mesh with with open squares and it has little plastic spikes on the top. You can cut it and place it where you want in the garden and then put soil or mulch on top. The cats DO NOT LIKE stepping on these mats let me tell you. I have some positioned strategically in my planter and the neighbor cats now leave it alone. It doesn't hurt them, it does scare the heck out of them though. Here's a link below to a website where you can buy them.

Answer #15:

Get a 50 cal sniper rifle and take them out one by one

Answer #16:

use a dog ;p or a sonic device

Answer #17:

Pour your own urine over the garden. Never fails. Works well for foxes as well.

Answer #18:

You people are so mean(the ones with the mothballs guns and other harmful things)!! We have this problem too and we use a mixture of vinegar and water and it keeps them out! White vinegar not red. Cats HATE the smell.

Answer #19:

Very carefully lay out pieces of clear packing tape sticky side up around your plants. Cats hate tape on their feet and the clear packing tape, they can pull off easily once they settle down and it doesn't hurt them. Inside it works for counter tops, stairs, any other place they like to get on or sharpen claws and outside on cars, around plants, etc. The tape is clear so it's aesthetically pleasing for your garden and you will be able to tell if a cat has visited. It works, I promise!
